An applet, actually a tiny Java program that can react to user input, is an application designed to be transmitted over the Internet and executed by a Java-compatible Web browser. Swing serves as a toolkit for Java Foundation Classes that defines the look and feel of the graphical user interface (GUI). Java Swing streamlines the design of Java GUI and allows users to create an attractive and efficient GUI that can be customized for relevant applications.
